Another part of the Sefton coast, the dunes of Formby Point contain the breeding grounds for the rare Natterjack Toad and Sand Lizard. Prehistoric footprints have been found in the Formby sands
including bison, and human footprints dated at 4000 years old. The area is very scenic and provides ample photographic opportunities. I arrived in the early hours to take some images of the sand dunes in the morning light, but
this turned out to be the more successful image. On trekking back to the car, I noticed the light on the sand ripples and composed this more abstract view of the Formby landscape.
