Taken on a winter round of the Mosedale Horseshoe in the Lake District. The lighting was changeable throughout the day, giving ample opportunities for photography. I saw the peak of Steeple for
the first time on this hike, and decided it would make a great subject for an image. Unfortunately, the lighting wasflat and overcast when I arrived. So I decided to wait ...
Within ten minutes, the clouds broke a little to the west, allowing the sun to illuminate Steeple and seperate it from its surroundings. Without delay, I took several images with varying
lighting on the peak. This is my favourite from the set.
