Harter Fell, Lake District, UK

Harter Fell is one of the peaks that can be tackled as a part of the Mardale Horseshoe.

This was taken in late winter, when there was a light dusting of snow on the tops. As it was late afternoon, and there was cloud interest in the sky, I decided to use a circular polarising filter to give more punch to the image. The sun was at a ninety degree angle to my right, which is ideal for the use of this filter.

While I don’t often use circular polarisers, I think it enhanced this particular image.
