Great Moss, Lake District, UK

Great Moss is one of my favourite spots in the Lake District. This area has a wild feel compared to other areas in the national park, with peaks such as Scafell, Scafell Pike, Bowfell and Crinkle Crags surrounding it from all sides.

The River Esk flows through here, providing many photographic opportunities. I had visited this spot previously, and revisited it in the hope that I would capture a snowy Scafell Pike in the distance.

Scafell Pike wasn’t in the condition I hoped, but I was more than compensated by the lighting conditions that morning.
